I love working alongside flutists of all ages to help them reach their peak, whatever the goals they envision for themselves. I guide students through the beginning steps to a beautiful flute tone and the development of music-reading. My specialized instruction prepares high school flutists for youth orchestras and college auditions. Some students come ready to experiment with new ideas, sounds, and techniques, or curious to improve their music theory understanding or piccolo proficiency. Adult amateurs who are longing to pick up the flute again after several years enjoy an opportunity to regain their technique and join a community band. Music lessons can also be an empowering activity for students with special needs.

As an avid hiker, I know what an exhilarating feeling it is to reach a summit that once seemed unattainable. I love collaborating with my students to create solutions for tricky problems, and it brings us all joy to end a music session with a sense of satisfaction and achievement!
